The Expression "old gospel church" makes most think of years ago when religious changes and new ways of worship flooded our land. But it is older than Israel's march through the wilderness, Abraham's declaration of faith, or even Noah's preaching of a righteous life. The old gospel church goes back to the Garden of Eden where God first communed with His Creation. From Genesis through Acts, God has shown His desire to fellowship, reconcile, heal, and empower His church. As the years have passed, many churches have become a place of convenience, ceremony, and law.
While religionist lament the demise of business-as-usual churches, the Pentecostal Awaking continues to gain momentum. People with a hunger for God are leaving cold confines of conventional congregations and flocking to spirit-filled churches where the fire of God is falling. Wherever the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached by men and women empowered by the Spirit, people are being won to the Lord, the Holy Spirit is being poured out in hungry hearts, and churches are being built. The Pentecostal revival sweeping the world is nothing less than a sovereign move of God to prepare the church for the coming of the Lord.
It is our Prayer that Intensive Care Ministries will be the "Old Gospel Church" for the 21st Century. Presenting Jesus, radically changing lives through the power of the Holy Spirit and teaching of God's Holy Word. We still believe what was believed 2000 years ago, when Jesus said that the blind see, the lame walk and the deaf hear. (paraphasing Matthew 11:5)
